BIOGRAPHY

Travis was born in Provo, Utah in 1979. When he was eight, his grandmother asked, "Travis, what do you want to be when you grow up?" He distinctly remembers thinking, What a silly question-because the answer was so obvious to him. "I'm going to be a artist and sell my paintings in Paris!" was his response.

Though his ideas of what it means to be a successful artist may have changed, his passion and conviction have not. In his work Travis often uses contemporary ideas combined with strong traditional technique as he focuses on the dynamic study of the human figure.

Of Travis's college career, professor and mentor P. Stewart says, "Travis initiates necessary competition and elevates the quality of work produced by all students. He is usually the standard by which students evaluate their own success. He has sound ideas and commits himself to professional and quality execution."

Travis is devoted to continual growth as an artist, husband, and father. He resides in Orem, Utah with his wife and daughter.
